WHAT DOES NON HOTFIX MEAN?

A good way to answer this question is with first what Hotfix crystals are. Hotfix crystals have a layer of glue already coated on the back of the stone. When this glue is heated with a Hotfix applicator, this glue melts and secures the crystals to material. Hotfix is designed for application to fabric. Therefore, Non Hotfix simply means that there is no pre applied adhesive on the back. So the creator is able to use any adhesive they desire without any heat. Non Hotfix is what we stock here at Crystal Chaos!

HOW LONG IS DELIVERY?

Our standard postage to the UK is sent by Royal Mail First Class Recorded delivery and is expected to arrive in 1-2 working days. This however is not guaranteed, but the postal service aim to deliver these parcels as quick as possible. Orders are dispatched Mon-Thursday and we are closed on Fridays.

International postage time can vary depending on where you are in the world. The average is about 10 working days (not including weekends) however it can take longer depending on customs processing time and shipping.

This postal service is tracked and signed, therefore a signature will be required to receive the parcel. If you miss the parcel we would recommend collecting it at the earliest possible opportunity. Otherwise it will be returned to us automatically which can take some time. We will not process a refund or arrange a redelivery until the items are back in our possession.

MY PARCEL HAS NOT ARRIVED, WHAT DO I DO?

Don't panic!

All of our parcels are sent recorded. Therefore when delivered, the tracking updates and confirms its arrival to you. The postal service has a certain amount of time that this must occur in, and if it takes longer than this the parcel can be presumed lost and we can open a case with the postal service to issue you a full refund. Please be aware, this can take some time for them to process the case. The required wait time to consider a parcel missing is as follows.

For orders inside of the UK, 15 working days are required for the parcel to be considered missing and submit a claim. This does not include weekends.

For international orders, 25 working days are required for the parcel to be considered missing and submit a claim. This does not include weekends.

WHAT GLUE SHOULD I USE?

It completely depends! Crystals are used for decorating many things. Ranging from metals and plastic to skin and nails. Therefore what would work for some would be terrible for others! We would always recommend researching what adhesive is best for your work to ensure a safe and secure bond to the surface. As we are solely crystal suppliers and do not have experience in all of your wonderful artforms it is difficult to recommend a suitable adhesive and don't stock any at this time. There are an abundance of helpful tutorials online which may help you with your journey to find the glue for you!

Be mindful of the toxicity of a glue, some have harmful fumes which require ventilated areas and safety measures. Always know what youre using and how to protect yourself!

WHAT IS THE BEST METHOD FOR NAILS/SKIN?

The same applies here. There are so many methods of applying crystals to nails. Some artists prefer to use their builder gels, while others use specialised crystal glues formulated for nails. Artists using crystals to apply to skin must always use a specialised adhesive to ensure they don't cause any irritation so makeup/skin glues are essential. We would definitely recommend checking out YouTube as a great learning source to help find out what method is best for you.
