INDUSTRIAL STRIKE ACTION DELAYS
WAITING FOR A PARCEL?
As you may be aware, the postal service is currently experiencing never before seen delays due to the industrial strike action across the UK. This action has triggered walk outs and all services to come to a halt on numerous occasions these past few months.
When combined with the Christmas rush the postal service has been struggling to cope due to the backlog of post it has created. All orders from the end of November and December have been affected. Although frustrating, this is good news, as it means they are all in the same situation and not lost but instead in a very long queue.
For UK orders, they are awaiting processing at sorting offices across the country. Although these parcels will arrive more swiftly than international orders, they are still facing heavy delays. Once it has made its way through the backlog, your tracking will update once the first delivery attempt is made.
For international orders, most parcels are currently waiting for their clearance through customs at this time which once cleared is where they receive their next scan. Hopefully once they leave the UK and are passed to USPS the parcel will travel more swiftly. This is also when your tracking will continue to update.
